Description
Emily Krous at Robert Half is helping a client with a Staff Accountant role in Chico, California. This role focuses on various accounting functions such as managing company asset records, assisting in the processing of receivables and payables, and preparing and posting monthly and yearly adjustments. You will also be working closely with the Finance Director, assisting with annual audit data compilation and administrative staff with contract administration.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the development of annual budgets
• Manage and maintain the asset records of the company and its affiliates
• Assist in the processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Conduct bank reconciliations and check reconciliations
• Prepare and post month-end and year-end adjustments and closing entries to the general ledger
• Balance subsidiary ledgers with control accounts in the general ledger
• Assist the Finance Director in compiling annual audit data
• Assist administrative staff with contract administration
• Carry out other related work as required, including Field Asset Management, Risk & Resilience, Environmental & Compliance Reporting.
Skills:
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger
• Knowledge of Journal Entries and Month-End Close procedures
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 2+ years of experience in accounting
