Job Overview The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a full-time clinical research project manager to manage our NIH StrokeNet Regional Coordinating Center. The Ohio Valley Regional Coordinating Center is consecutively funded regional infrastructure to perform NIH-funded stroke clinical trials for the past 10 years. This includes a network of hospitals across the city as well as two well-performing satellite sites- Ohio State University and University of Louisville. The successful candidate will have a combined working knowledge of clinical stroke programs, stroke care delivery and research operations to successfully advance this historically successful and busy stroke research program. Additional responsibilities include day-to-day oversight of research operations and personnel, fiscal management and promotion of a compliant research culture based on the principles of Good Clinical Practice, Good Laboratory Practice, Federal Regulations and Dignity Health Policies, and management of the regional coordinating center and satellite and performance sites. The position reports directly to the RCC PIs at the University of Cincinnati and partners with physician leaders and works collaboratively with inpatient and outpatient stakeholders across the stroke program. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. Essential Functions Collaborate with the RCC PIs to manage our clinical stroke trial portfolio Manage the NIH StrokeNet research coordinators, which includes weekly meetings with each coordinator Oversee screening logs Run bi-monthly research meetings to highlight progress and trouble shoot recruitment and retention issues Assist with trial start up, responding to open DCRs and queries, and closure to ensure timely turnaround Assist with the growth of NIH StrokeNet trials to community hospitals in the Region. Hands-on assistance with enrollments may be required at times Attend NIH StrokeNet Committee meetings (monthly; virtual) and trial-specific meetings Attend bi-annual national StrokeNet meetings (one in person, one virtual) Assist with annual NIH reporting Overall RCC regional operations including management of the satellite and performance sites Novel strategies to improve recruitment and retention and coordinator satisfaction are welcome Required Education Bachelor's Degree Nine (9) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
