Fairbanks Morse, LLC CNC Programmer II in Cincinnati, Ohio

The CNC Machining Center Programmer will develop programs and fixturing for a variety of Haas Mills, Haas Lathes, Bridgeport type mills, and other "manual" machine centers. Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops programs and fixturing for Haas Mills, Haas Lathes, Bridgeport type mills, and other "manual" machine centers (Drill press, band saw, etc.).
  • Partners with Engineering and to design and build fixtures.
  • Coaches/instructs machine operators in proper set-up and run procedures for new parts.
  • Creates machine set-up sheet instructions including tool lengths and work offsets.
  • Checks parts to print and adjust tool offsets as required.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of Machine Shop experience preferred
  • Technical School certificate/degree preferred.

``` - Experience programming or using the following technologies: - "C" axis and live tooling on HAAS CNC Lathes - Haas controls and G & M codes. - GibbsCam programming software. - AutoDesk Vault drafting software. - Mill's "A" axis a plus. - Must be able to read, follow and understand blueprints, methods and procedural instructions. - Responsible for machining parts to print and checking own work. - Ability to identify common raw materials, proper tooling and work-holding devices - Competent with typical measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers, indicators, and edge finders). - Must be able to stand for long periods in a fast-paced shop environment. - Regularly required to stand, bend and reach and occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
