Job Description:

Leads and directs experienced professionals, lower level supervisors, or associate managers. Communicates within and outside of organization to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Establishes short-term operational plans with measurable contribution to function or business area results. Requires management and leadership knowledge in job area and comprehensive knowledge within professional discipline. Work consists of making significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area. May develop new concepts or standards. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are undefined, where information is difficult to obtain. Conducts extensive investigation to understand root cause of problems. Problems span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across the function and/or business area.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages transactional accounting and general ledger accounting staff

  • Manages general ledger activity with focus on the accuracy of financial results.

  • Manages and Assist in implementation of systems and policy/procedure updates/harmonization.

  • Establishes operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the job function.

  • Provides measurable input of new products, processes or standards in operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall functional results.

  • Typically, does not have budget or Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability, but may manage certain processes or projects within a defined budget set by management.

  • Supports Government compliance in Audits and analytics of data and documentation.

    Qualifications:

  • Requires management and leadership knowledge in job area. Typically has comprehensive knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline and may have broad understanding of other areas within the job function. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

  • 7 years or more experience with Costpoint, SAP, Hyperion and Government Accounting Contracts.

  • 7 years or more experience in communicate with leadership regarding matters of importance to the function or business area, including experience conducting briefings with senior leaders.

  • 7 years or more experience in working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Must be a United States Citizen.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Governmental Accounting experience preferred

  • GAAP Compliance

  • FPRP/Incurred Cost Claim/Overhead Rate experience preferred

  • FAR knowledge preferred

  • General Ledger experience required

  • Payroll, Accounts Payable Management Experience

  • Governement Billing Experience

  • Excel skill level advanced
