Robert Half Staff Accountant in Cincinnati, Ohio
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position is within the telecom industry and will be focused on various accounting tasks such as account reconciliation, bank journal entries, and ledger reconciliations. The role also requires operating on platforms like Encompass, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities:
• Working with different teams to reconcile accounts
• Handling bank journal entries and ledger reconciliations
• Assisting with payroll journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
• Managing machine invoicing, including progress invoices that could span over a year
• Supporting and maintaining accounts receivable, including upkeep of relevant worksheets
• Utilizing platforms like Encompass, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel for various tasks
• Demonstrating proficiency in skills such as General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Ledger Reconciliations, Ledger Journal Entries, and Accounts Receivable (AR). Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience working as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role
• Proficiency in working with General Ledger
• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations
• Ability to perform Ledger Reconciliations
• Experience in making Ledger Journal Entries
• Strong hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make well-judged decisions
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness with the ability to handle sensitive financial information appropriately
• Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing priorities and deadlines.
