Description
Robert Half is looking for a tax accountant for a growing Cincinnati based company. The tax accountant will be responsible for the maintenance and preparation of tax records, tax returns, and tax-related schedules and reports. Ensures preparation of local, state and federal level returns for submission within specified deadlines.Collects and analyzes changes in local, state and federal regulations to ensure work processes are in compliance with those changes. Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to the general ledger accounts and does proper reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts. Ensures accuracy of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Corporate Taxation
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrated experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with CCH Sales Tax
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proven ability to handle Accounting Functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Auditing
• Ability to manage Cash Activity
• Proficiency in Income Tax Accounting and Tax Accounting
• Experience in Partnership Tax, Partnership Returns, and Partnership Tax Returns
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
