What You Will Learn:

As an Intern, you will be learning and using technical and soft skills to enable you to effectively support all packaging categories with a level of autonomy. You will be part of a team, participating in the team’s vision, métier, and personal goals.

Key job accountabilities are as follows:

  • Learn and develop proficiency in the Development & Packaging systems and associated data flows.

  • Perform role of data quality relay for local & affiliate concerns. Evaluate, analyze, and validate the concern and engage data owner for issue resolution.

  • Work closely with system administrators and data quality leader to communicate error trends and user training opportunities based on local & affiliate data incidents.

  • Create data incident scorecard for incidents concerning Packaging & Development.

  • Perform as the liaison between Packaging & Development and Data Excellence team concerning topics relating to data quality & coherence.

  • Responsible for data monitoring among Packaging & Development systems and data flows in and out of Packaging & Development ecosystem.

  • Management of Packaging Master Data to support plant production needs (Packaging Instructions).

  • Bill of material system management of reforms, phase-ins, plant projects, artwork updates; BOM updates and code creations as necessary to support production needs.

  • Appropriate issue escalation as necessary that require further investigation and/or IT intervention.

    What We Are Looking For:

    Required Qualifications:

  • Must be graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or similar Engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 3.2 GPA.

  • French, and/or Spanish language skills are a plus.

  • Expert / Advanced level proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and affinity for data analytics.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels in the Development and Packaging teams (engineer to VP).

  • Ability to tailor training/information and disseminate according to audience needs in an engaging manner.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage documentation, materials, and information.

  • Ability to manage projects independently.

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and possess above average decision-making ability.

  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing, permanent basis.

  • Availability to work up to 40 hours per week.

  • Prior Internship or Co-op experience a plus.

  • Experience in package engineering & development desired; preferably in the cosmetics, consumer goods or related field.
