This position is Monday-Friday with a shift of 4 pm to 9 pm. The pay is $12 an hour.

Job Summary

The Janitor keeps the premises of the office building or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly conditions. Cleans office areas, classrooms, hallways, lobbies,

breakrooms/cafeterias, restrooms, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other assigned work areas.

Example Duties and Activities

• Cleans and disinfects the furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Wipes down walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Communicates with Goodwill management and customers when appropriate and as needed.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
• Sets up tables and chairs in auditoriums or halls.
• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
