The Mechanic/Maintenance Tech maintains the District bus fleet and vehicles, equipment, and buildings, all the while providing professional, courteous, and friendly service. Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED * Three (3) years experience in repair and maintenance of transportation equipment, including experience in diesel equipment repair (air brake maintenance and repair a plus) * Read and understand maintenance manuals, electrical diagrams and diagnose electrical systems * Repair and maintain gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment * Follow written and oral instructions and exercise independent judgement * Lift up to 50 pounds.
