Cleveland Clinic Education Coordinator I in Cleveland, Ohio

As an Education Coordinator, you will provide administrative support in the development, implementation and administration of education programs. Your duties may include coordinating curriculum logistics and educational conferences, maintaining records and evaluations, supporting the budget monitoring process, and collaborating with other team members to ensure quality educational programs. While this position will mainly work remotely, you will be required to travel to Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus and other locations to host education and/or prepare for education being held in another location and handle logistics for education. Long days (12-hour shifts) and weekends may be required.

Candidates must demonstrate understanding of the medical education marketplace as it relates to the department's goals. Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the design, development, implementation, modification and evaluation of the education programs for the Institute.

  • Participates in activities to improve operational practices and procedures.

  • Participates in the development of training modules in accordance with appropriate standards related to the specific discipline.

  • Schedules, conducts and monitors training classes.

  • Assists in the development and administration of appropriate testing to ensure compliance with program policies.

  • Manages special projects at the direction of supervisor. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Participation in the development of marketing plans and may be primarily responsible for execution of plan, monitoring revenue and expenses to ensure that project stays within budget, coordinating special events, seminars, meetings, didactic lectures and other activities as required. This may include securing hotel accommodations, travel, meal planning, certification forms, audio visual requirements, honorarium processing, etc. May assist in development of syllabus material which includes design, review of content and assembly to include required information for accreditation compliance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School diploma required.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, education or related field preferred.

  • A Bachelor's degree may substitute up two years of required experience.

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

  • Knowledge of educational accreditation policies and procedures preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate and oversee a multitude of activities and functions.

  • Proficient at an intermediate level with personal computers and software.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting and marketing principles preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Work Experience:

  • Three years of related experience, including at least one year of leading or coordinating projects, operations, or educational meetings, required.

  • Working knowledge and experience with regulatory policies and procedures preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system

  • In some locations, ability to move up to 15 pounds

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $17.25

Maximum hourly: $26.31
