Starting Pay: $32.67/hour.
Work Schedule: Hiring 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shifts. Overtime As Needed.
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be required to perform in a multi-craft environment. This position requires strong experience in electrical, mechanical and HVAC fields. Prior experience as a maintenance technician or qualified journeyman in an industrial manufacturing or similar work environment is required for consideration.
Primary Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, Repair, modify, and install equipment to maintain and operate the facility.
- Perform preventative maintenance on belts, piping, filters, mixers, valves, bearings, motors, gear boxes, agitators, dies, feeders, drive chains, mills, and mechanical seals and pumps.
- Work in confirmed spaces, on elevated platforms, ladders, scaffolding and roofs.
- Perform all task associated with troubleshooting equipment and proof test equipment as necessary to solve problems and pro-actively prevent them. Perform all tasks associated with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Recognize problems, identify root cause, develop options to address within time constraints, implement appropriate solution.
- PLC ladder logic troubleshooting and maintenance of power systems through standard instrumentation.
- Install, test and maintain control devices, pressure-sensing units and flow measuring devices.
- Accurately maintain records and reports as required.
Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair Allen Bradley PLCs and install, test and maintain process motor control systems.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years in mechanical maintenance or related skills preferred.
- HVAC or Electrical experience/background is strongly preferred.
- Two years technical training with state-of-the-art maintenance practices preferred. Operate production, utility equipment, process control equipment.
- Experience using hand tools and power hand tools.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand technical documents/manuals and CAD drawings of plant equipment.
- Ability to perform confined space entry, work at heights, lifting, and manual labor.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel software, MicroMain, SAP, or similar CMMS operating systems.
- Accept extended and or weekend schedules as necessary. Flexible start and end times.
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including respirator.
