Cleveland Clinic Photographer - Dermatology/Plastics in Cleveland, Ohio

As a Photographer - Dermatology/Plastics, you will take clinical, hospital, operating room, and research pictures for department caregivers and residents, categorize and maintain visual files, and organize photographic presentations and artwork for exhibits. Your shift will be Monday, Tuesday, and Friday with alternating Thursdays.

As a Photographer - Dermatology/Plastics, you will take clinical, hospital, operating room, and research pictures for department caregivers and residents, categorize and maintain visual files, and organize photographic presentations and artwork for exhibits. Responsibilities:

  • Photographically records legal still pictures for surgical procedures, research study reviews, interesting cases, exhibit photos and lecture series photos.

  • Cleans, dissect, sets-up and photographs all specimens during surgery.

  • Reproduces and processes 35 MM and digital slides, film for x-rays, CT scans and ultrasound print-outs. Categorizes and files prints, slides and special programs.

  • Mounts, labels and files slides.

  • Maintains special filing system for research studies.

  • Prepares and maintains a reference card file and a patient authorization card file for all photographed subjects.

  • Duplicates visuals when needed.

  • Organizes photographic presentations and artwork for exhibits.

  • Prepares prints and graphs to be presented for physician's review.

  • Mounts prints, graphs and typewritten captions to exhibit board and prepares board for shipment.

  • Prepares video recorder and creates visual case histories and follow-ups of selected patients for presentations.

  • Tests, selects and recommends purchase of audiovisual supplies and equipment for department's needs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Knowledge of photographic techniques and processes to produce high quality photographs.

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Frequent exercise of independent judgment and initiative required.

  • Flexibility to examine alternate problem solving solutions specific to unique situation.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum three years related still, color and black and white photography experience.

  • Portfolio required.

  • Associate's Degree in Photography/Audiovisual may substitute for one year of experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Motor coordination and manual dexterity sufficient for adjusting, focusing and working with fine types of equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $17.25

Maximum hourly: $26.31

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package, which includes among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision and retirement.
