Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician at a leading corrugated box manufacturer and supplier. You will mainly work on mechanical repairs involving rollers, conveyors, and belts. Your tasks will include troubleshooting variable frequency drives, sensors, and 480-volt motors. Additionally, you will use manual milling/machining equipment to fabricate parts for repairs. A positive attitude is crucial as we aim to implement a significant culture change.

Hard Skills

  • Mechanical skills (gears, gear boxes, bearings, conveyors, rollers, hydraulic/pneumatic equipment)

  • Electrical skills (PLC, motor change-outs, motor re-wiring, sensor troubleshooting, variable frequency drive handling)

Soft Skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 60 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Work Environment

The work environment is not climate controlled and stays within 10-15 degrees of the outside temperature, although it is equipped with fans and is maintained very clean. The facility includes a mix of new and old machinery, including Allen Bradley PLC systems 500/5000 and a FANUC robot for material handling. Dress code includes jeans/work pants, steel-toed shoes, and safety glasses. Tools are required, but larger tools are provided. Training will be conducted by a lead and the Reliability Director. There are openings for the 2nd shift (3-11:30 p.m.) and 3rd shift (11 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.), with potential shifts adjustment to 2-2-3 (12-hour shifts) during the busy season when fully staffed.
