Community Wellness Partners Accountant in Clinton, New York

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under direction of the Assistant Controller, performs journal entries, maintains bank reconciliations. Assist with monthly closing and account analysis. Assist with year-end and audit activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Close month end with journal entries, financial statements, and reconciliations.

  • Reconcile Bank Statements and fixed assets monthly.

  • Assist Accounts Payable Clerk on an as needed basis.

  • Assist Business Office Manager with annual cost report preparation and annual audit activities.

  • Complete quarterly sales tax filing.

  • Work with collection attorney on an as needed basis.

  • Completes union dues report to be submitted monthly.

  • Completes union pension report to be submitted monthly.

  • Reviews pharmacy invoices for accuracy.

  • Performs a variety of general clerical duties, including mail distribution and other routine functions.

  • Track and reconcile petty cash.

  • Other related duties that may become necessary or as directed by the Assistant Controller or Business Office Manager.

  • Must be available to work more than eight (8) hours per day or more than forty (40) hours per week.

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates degree in business or accounting with three to five years accounting experience preferably in a healthcare setting.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

  • Organizing skills.

  • Knowledge of MS Office.

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
