Summit County is accepting applications for Reserve Deputy Sheriff to perform law enforcement duties intended to secure a safe environment for county citizens and to protect legal rights as established by federal, state, and local laws.
Salary Range: $27.84- $46.59/hourly
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from High School
Successful completion of P.O.S.T. Peace Officers Standards and Training Academy, and LEO certified.
Must Be a United States Citizen.
Must be at least 21 years of age as per county regulations.
Must possess a valid Utah Driver's license.
Succe ssfully completed NPOST.
Must work rotating shifts.
Must successfully complete a background investigation, physical agility testing, and psychological evaluation.
May not have been convicted of an offense involving dishonesty, unlawful sexual conduct, physical violence and/or domestic violence; convicted of the unlawful use, sale, or possession of a controlled substance prior to five (5) years from the date of conviction or last usage; convicted of a crime for which the applicant could have been punished by imprisonment in a federal penitentiary of this or another state.
