Elmet Technologies LLC Business Systems Analyst in COLDWATER, Michigan

POSITION SUMMARY This position will support our GlobalShop ERP for three US locations of ELMET Technologies, in Coldwater, Michigan, Euclid, Ohio and Lewiston, Maine. ELMET is a fully integrated, US-owned and operated, global leader in the manufacture of high purity molybdenum and tungsten products for the aerospace, industrial, energy and defense sectors.  We have significant opportunities to further evaluate our business processes and find additional ways to automate, integrate, and optimize our ERP solution to create efficiencies, improve management visibility, enrich customer information, and improve data quality throughout the business. This role will be responsible for identifying detailed business requirements, managing projects/priorities, supporting GlobalShop operations and delivering ongoing solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES .

  • This role is integral to supporting and improving automated processes, streamlining critical business processes, data integrity, compliance, and innovative business applications.

  • Documenting the business requirements, which express what actions a solution must take and what outcome is expected.

  • Facilitates the customer’s decision-making process and develops the functional design documents that will drive the development process for business applications.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and keen attention to detail is extremely important.

  • Support and Administration of GlobalShop ERP platforms for all US Operations.

  • Working directly with GlobalShop experts/resources to deliver ERP services consistent with corporate direction.

  • Providing continuous uptime of ERP systems for the organization.

  • Planning, designing and executing approved configuration changes.

  • Maintaining GlobalShop Improvements roadmap and delivering new features, as well as integrated solutions.

  • Participation in ongoing ERP Steering Committee meetings.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned to business objectives, gaining full understanding of current business processes.

  • Demonstrates experience in the use of agile frameworks and ERP implementation methodologies.

  • Conducting acceptance testing and training customer resources to successfully use and maintain business applications.

  • Has industry experience and understands challenges and risks when implementing vertical applications, primarily within a Discrete Manufacturing environment.

  • Develop and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with other team members within the department and throughout the organization.

  • Must be able to make presentations at meetings and train system users at all levels within the organization.

  • Must be organized with the ability to multi-task and set priorities. Able to influence, negotiate and build consensus.

  • Perform research, schedule personal training or attend conferences to keep abreast of enterprise applications developments.

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • At least 3 years of experience working with ERP Systems - Technical and Professional Expertise.

  • At least 3 years of experience performing in a Business Analyst capacity, including mapping and improving business processes.

  • At least 2 years of experience in Discrete Manufacturing preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience with user roles and Security in GlobalShop or equivalent ERPs.

  • Familiarity or experience with custom reports and forms development.

  • Familiarity or experience with business intelligence reporting.

  • Experience in setup and maintenance of workflow design & configurations, as well as email notification processes.

  • GlobalShop ERP implementation, configuration and a support experience a plus.

  • Experience with GlobalSHop Dashboard Designer a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

  • Expert in user story writing, along with the necessary acceptance criteria.

  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

  • Ability for occasional travel.

    Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years IT experience as a Business Systems Analyst.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing and writing scenarios for business process flows.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing, coordinating and delivering training to a distributed end user base.

  • 2+ years' experience with ERP product implementation and/or support. Preferably in one or more of the following areas: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Procurement, Master Planning, Quality, Project Management and/or System Administration.

  • At least 3 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with modeling business process and translating requirements into a business application.

  • Experience with writing and maintaining data query language preferred.

  • Experience with SharePoint configurations and support a plus.

  • Experience with OTS business software due diligence and support a plus.

  • Experience with advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, including pivot tables, database queries and formulas a plus.

  • Aerospace and Defense manufacturing industries experience a plus.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Mixed work environment between office and manufacturing production areas.  Able to carry up to 35 pounds and able to work in a variety of spaces including wiring closets, and production areas with provided required PPE.
