Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment, performing preventative and repair maintenance on all equipment throughout the building, including building maintenance itself. This role requires a proactive and diligent individual capable of performing a wide range of general maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical issues. You will play a crucial role in maintaining production machinery, prioritizing it over PMs, work orders, and projects to ensure continuous operational efficiency.
Hard Skills
Familiarity with HVAC systems
Knowledge of electric motors (AC and DC)
Proficiency in motor controls and drives
Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems over the phone
Ability to read schematics
Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance
PLC Logic knowledge
Experience in industrial/manufacturing environment
Proficiency in using CMMS for daily passdowns and work orders
Troubleshooting and repair of prox switches, limit switches, relay switches, circuit troubleshooting, high/low voltage
Mechanical repairs including hydraulics, pneumatics, changing out webbing, dyes
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving skills

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Environment
Initial training on the day shift from 7:00 am - 4:30 pm for the first 4 weeks with potential for early transition based on performance. Post-training, work hours shift according to the season: Monday - Thursday during the slow season (March - August) and Monday - Friday (with most Saturdays) during the busy season (September - Early March). The plant is clean, temperature-controlled, and well-spaced. Some machinery operation is loud, requiring ear plugs and protective eyewear. Dress code includes jeans or work pants, t-shirts or polos, and steel-toed shoes on the production floor.
