Summary Description: Colorado College seeks an Assistant Director for Employer Relations to join our dynamic Career Center team in our mission to help students connect their liberal arts experiences to their professional journeys. Reporting to the Career Center Director, this team member leads our employer relations strategy, conducts outreach to prospective employers (including alumni and parents), and cultivates relationships and strategic partnerships to expand job and internship opportunities for Colorado College students.

What We Offer: As part of the total compensation for this role, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:

Anticipated Salary Range: $56,116 to $67,339 per year

Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the career consulting team, strategically target outreach to regional, national, and global companies and organizations across the private, non-profit, and public sectors, based on market outlook, recruiting and outcomes data, and student interest. Mobilize and steward a strong network of college stakeholders to support employer inroads. Source exceptional early career opportunities, including internships, externships, research experiences, and entry level jobs, for the wide range of interests, goals and values reflected by students. Consult employers on strategies and options for increasing visibility and inclusive engagement with students based on recruiting needs, capacities, and timelines. Proactively work to promote equitable and inclusive hiring practices and prioritize engagement with organizations who exemplify equity and inclusion efforts and expanding opportunities for students from underserved backgrounds. Develop mechanisms to solicit, manage and report employer leads and opportunities, use recruitment platforms effectively, collaborate on career events, and collect and analyze engagement data to assess program effectiveness. Manage the Career Center's internship funding program (promotion, application and selection, funds management, applicant support, student professional development, and employer agreements) and leverage students' internship sites to cultivate new employer relationships. Create specialized content to communicate the value of a liberal ar s education, generate departmental communication regarding job market trends, demand competencies, recruiting timelines, and practices. Develop diverse content strategies to engage and inform students of competitive candidate preparation and employer engagement.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of five years of progressive responsibility and leadership in the field of recruitment, corporate relations, employer relations, human resources, higher education, career development, and/or program management, or parallel setting. Ability to establish credibility and build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Professional demeanor including a high level of tact and excellent verbal and written communication. Project management experience including program development, implementation, data collection, assessment, and evaluation. Ability to manage shifting priorities and navigate ambiguity with a high level of adaptability, discretion, sound judgment and creative problem solving.
