Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a sharp DevSecOps Engineer/Developer to join our growing Systems Engineering team!

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 10+ years of related experience

  • 5+ years of progressive DevSecOps experience

  • 10+ years of relevant Windows and Linux experience.

  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Test Automation, Docker, Packer.

  • Proficient with Git.

  • Able to develop software using a modern programming language (Python, Groovy, etc.).

  • Familiarity with automation of security-relevant OS configurations, frameworks, and verification mechanisms including GPO, host firewall.

  • PowerShell and Unix shell scripting experience.

  • Deployment of applications into mixed platform environments (AWS, VMWare, OpenStack, OpenShift).

  • Integration experience with cybersecurity COTS/FOSS tools sets asset management and vulnerability assessments

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • DevSecOps experience or experience automating, measuring, and optimizing system performance and processes.

  • Experience developing hybrid cloud and container-based applications, using automation.

  • Familiarity with agile process tools (e.g., Atlassian’s suite including Jira/Confluence) to manage and document development

  • Ability to produce technical documentation.

  • Working knowledge of security and auditing cloud infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or comparable work experience.

Additional Information:

  • This role will work under the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) delivery methodology. 

  • The candidate will work with a handful of cloud tools focusing primarily on automation amongst other objectives, supporting the development and deployment of various cloud and on-premise environments.

  • The candidate will have demonstrated experience in delivering and maintaining operating system environments used by developers.

  • Experience in automated configuration and provisioning of cloud OS level infrastructure is required.

  • Experience developing engineering applications for a large DoD organization

Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
