Schmidt Construction, part of the Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies, is seeking a CDL Driver to work at our Colorado Springs location in CO. The CDL Driver maneuvers the vehicle to properly load, transport, and apply material.

Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Principal Responsibilities Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Checking and maintaining fluid levels Maneuvering vehicle to properly load, transport, and apply material Observing loading operation to ensure correct material, proper weight and proper distribution of material Getting vehicle weighed and processing appropriate paperwork Writing up or communicating repair requests to mechanics Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle Maintaining records and logs Properly handling breakdowns and accidents Provides basic maintenance of vehicle Also assists with other given tasks Qualifications (Skills, knowledge, experience) Valid driver's license with excellent driving record Mechanical aptitude Must have a valid CDL with Tanker & HazMat endorsements, or the ability to obtain one Physical Requirements Lifting up to 50 pounds Using hands and feet to move levers and depress pedals Sitting for extended period of time Climbing on and into vehicle Working outside for extended periods of time To Apply
