Nou Systems, Inc. Junior to Mid-Level C++ Software Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

We are pleased to announce the contingent opening for a Software Engineer who will join our Technical Solutions division in Huntsville, Alabama and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team developing and transitioning real-time radar algorithms for nation-wide defense.

Responsibilities:

You’ll take algorithms developed in other languages (MATLAB, Python) and transition them to performant C++ code. As part of this role, you’ll ensure best development practices are followed, including development of suites of unit and integration tests; debug complex production issues in constrained environments; and support the code integration into larger systems. You’ll not only be developing code but also recommending coding approaches and communicating those recommendations not only to the software team but also management and customer stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • You must have a Bachelor’s degree. A computer science or software engineering degree is preferred.

  • You will need 3 years of full-time professional experience. Prefer 5 years of experience in software development with a focus on C++.

  • You must possess or can obtain an active SECRET clearance.

  • You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of multiple generations of C++ (C++11, C++14, C++17).

  • Experience with version control (Git/Gitlab preferred).

  • Experience with MATLAB and Python and the ability to translate it to C++.

  • Experience with deploying software to hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) facilities.

  • Working knowledge of radar systems, especially those used in missile defense.
