Actalent Cable Technician in Columbia, Maryland
Description:
Build, test, troubleshoot subassemblies or finished products using layouts, wiring diagrams, written documentation
Install and configure computer clients, servers and switches in a network environment
Perform system and subassembly inspections to verify quality requirements
Assist other personnel performing Acceptance Test duties with customer representatives
Help diagnose system or unit problems as well as suggest and implement production improvements
Assist engineers to perform and validate test procedures
Build prototype and new design hardware assemblies as required per engineering
Skills:
electronics, wiring, cables, rack and stack, routers and switches, system configuration, testing, server builds, telecommunication, electrical system, Windows, Production
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
2 year technical degree
Knowledge of AC/DC electrical system connections and electronic hardware assembly techniques
System configuration documentation to assemble and test telecommunications equipment
Working knowledge of computer hardware, software and peripherals including experience loading software applications on client and server computers
