Description
We are in search of a skilled Purchasing Coordinator to be part of our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves a range of responsibilities including processing purchase orders, providing sales support, and assisting with various additional duties as assigned by the manager. This position offers a contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Support multi-line phone system
• Help to Expedite Purchase Orders for purchasing team
• Maintain expected ship dates on open purchase orders and provide communication for internal teams
• Update shipping information in tracker
• Assist with miscellaneous duties
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook for various tasks
• Provide excellent customer service in all interactions
• Handle invoicing tasks in a timely and accurate manner
• Process and track purchase orders effectively
• Support the sales team with necessary information and documentation.
Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook is expected.
• Demonstrable experience in customer service is essential.
• Ability to process invoices and purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Experience in providing sales support within a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of standard purchasing procedures and documentation.
• Experience in a purchasing role or similar is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
