What IT Asset Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

IT Asset Management is responsible for governing the license management for IT hardware and software assets. Flexera One SaaS tool is utilized to drive savings opportunities and license compliance with Cardinal Health Solution and Product Owners.

Job Summary

This position will partner with the Flexera One Solution Owner and vendor to define the strategy to drive the execution of IT Visibility (ITV) workstreams (Sustainability, Vulnerabilities, Risk and Data Management). This role is also responsible for enforcing software policies and procedures and working with internal and external partners to maintain data normalization, integrations with CMDB (Configuration Management Database), and ensuring accurate licensing data in Application Portfolio Management (APM) and ServiceNow. This position will serve as a primary and secondary subject matter expert for tier 1 and 2 scoped software licensed products in support of the software integration multi-year effort.

Responsibilities

  • Applies intermediate to advanced knowledge of Flexera One best practices to effectively manage software licenses.

  • Ability to quickly adopt and apply technical knowledge of Flexera One to coordinate requirements for direct and indirect connections, license entitlements and positions for software products.

  • Retains a comprehensive understanding of repairs and maintenance, procurement, and financial processes.

  • Applies knowledge of application portfolio, license, and infrastructure process management.

  • Identify automation and continuous improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies for procure-to-pay and IT asset management processes.

  • Oversees, orchestrates, and delivers on-time audit deliverables.

  • Builds trusted partnerships with leaders and SMEs across the organization.

  • Accountable for overseeing the growth and maturation of the Flexera One product portfolio.

  • Collaborates with leadership, Enterprise Architecture, ServiceNow, Environment Health and Safety, and Information Security partners to comprise business objectives for IT Visibility.

  • Utilizes driven reporting and insights from IT Visibility to identify vulnerabilities, prevent risk, maintain compliance, and investigate sustainability management opportunities of software asset data.

  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate data repository to mitigate risk.

  • Responsible for the planning, delivery, and maintenance of accurate follow-the-renewal dates, deliverables, and communications.

  • Partners with the software asset management team members to increase the portfolio of the product to generate savings opportunities.

  • Collaborates with Repairs and Maintenance, Indirect Procurement, Flexera One Customer Success Manager, Flexera One Product & Development Managers, and Cardinal Health Solution Owners to generate value-based outputs.

  • Presents concise messaging with prescriptive insights to senior leaders to drive business decisions.

  • Socializes tool features and dependencies to key stakeholders and Flexera One users.

  • Leads the maintenance and socialization of software asset management policies and procedures.

  • Assists asset team members with license entitlement and position tracking in Flexera One.

  • Leads, coaches, and mentors team members to ensure a positive, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • 5-7 years of experience with product ownership and IT asset management best practices, preferred

  • Knowledge of Flexera One or other software asset management tools

  • Experience with software asset management lifecycle, methodologies, and best practices

  • Demonstrated competency of repairs and maintenance, procurement, and financial processes

  • Understanding of software license management across many environments (desktop, server, and SaaS)

  • Demonstrated experience with leading systems and tools for IT asset management, discovery, and automation / workflow capabilities

  • Experience with Microsoft license/agreement renewals/true ups preferred

  • Demonstrated experience with software audit practices preferred

  • ServiceNow experience preferred

  • Demonstrated experience leading large strategic efforts with financial savings commitments

Anticipated salary range : $85,100 - $127,680
