Burgess & Niple, Inc. Systems Analyst in Columbus, Ohio

Burgess & Niple is seeking a Systems Analyst to join our headquarters in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on the development and maintenance of web applications, supporting a growing professional services firm of engineers and planners.

B&N Systems Analyst Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, HTML, and CSS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable application architectures.
  • Develop backend services and APIs, optimizing database performance.
  • Assist in business application development, business intelligence, and data modeling.
  • Conduct system analysis to improve business processes and system efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MIS applications and systems.
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and software solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for MIS processes and systems.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of database and application design principles.
  • Experience with system analysis and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to document technical specifications and user guides.
  • Ability to provide technical support and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data modeling techniques.
