Summary (basic purpose of the job):
The main duty of the Oiler is maintaining, cleaning, lubricating, and at times maintenance on compressors, motors, gears, and other equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Adheres to all company safety policies and practices
- Lubricate and clean the various parts to keep motors functioning properly
- Making daily rounds to keep tanks full of lubricant
- Following a preset greasing schedule
- Time management
- Keeping track of oil and grease inventory and communicating with purchasing department about inventory on hand
- Helping millwrights and other staff with maintenance repairs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include the following:
- Must be 18 or older
- Ability to carry out assignments with minimal supervision
- Basic understanding of hand tools and how to use them
- Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance programs, practices, procedures, and equipment troubleshooting
- Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions/temperatures 10-12 hours per day
