Job Description

AbbVie is currently seeking a Medical Advisor to work with our Immunology portfolio. In this role, you will serve as the affiliate’s medical and scientific voice within the Dermatology & Rheumatology therapeutic areas. Your contributions will directly impact patient outcomes and shape the future of healthcare.

As a Medical Advisor, you will establish and maintain professional relationships with experts and academic centers. You will attend national and international scientific congresses, arrange advisory groups, discussion forums, and symposia. Your expertise will be crucial as you prepare scientific and medical information on request, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information. Additionally, you will deliver scientific presentations and drive medical education to raise standards of care in collaboration with the medical community.

As a medical expert, you will be an integral part of the cross-functional Brand Team. You will provide medical and scientific input to medical affairs strategies, marketing strategies, and commercial initiatives. Reviewing and approving commercial material will also be part of your responsibilities.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist in initiating, supervising, and following up on clinical trials and lead medical projects. You will be involved in designing and implementing clinical research projects, when relevant.

This position is based in our office in Copenhagen, with travel required approximately 50-70% of the time, both nationally and internationally.

Qualifications

  • You hold a degree in medicine, pharmacy, science, or an equivalent qualification.

  • If you have clinical and research experience (PhD) it is an advantage.

  • We like you to have previous experience in Medical Affairs.

  • Immunology experience is an advantage.

  • Fluency in written and oral Danish and English

  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to interact externally and internally to support business strategy.

  • Proven leadership skills in a cross-functional team environment.
