This is a job for a Remote Food Safety Specialist with a company located in the Redwood, MS area.

Job Summary: The Food Safety Specialist will be responsible for operations within food safety auditing accounts, daily, monthly, and annual quality assurance for our food safety and sanitation auditing platforms. This role will review daily audits, identify auditor calibration opportunities, corrective actions, and training needs for our food safety auditors.  This Specialist will design and conduct web based or in person corrective action training and follow-up with auditors and managers. Additionally, the Food Safety Specialist will support food safety accounts, sales opportunities, demo audits, new form creation, and will periodically moderate online Food Safety Manager training courses.

Responsibilities: Food Safety Audit quality assurance functions, corrective actions, and communication of quality issues. Design and maintain training and instruction for corrective action, auditors, and other areas. Food safety account support and new account sales support. Maintain national food safety training and certification regulatory database. Maintenance for client management hierarchy for audit platform and other data support. Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: Associate degree with a minimum of 10+ years' experience with programs for retail food safety & sanitation clients and demonstrated knowledge of the FDA Food Code. Additional consideration for bachelor's degree in environmental health, food science, food safety, or microbiology with 5 years' experience. Certified Professional -- Food Safety (CP-FS) credential from NEHA. Ability to travel approximately 30% of time.
