The primary purpose of this position is to support and enable the organization to identify and prioritize wastes across the site value stream, identify root causes and to eliminate them in short- and long-term through the integration of a DBS roadmap into the site strategy.

This includes the preparation, execution, and sustainment of kaizen-events to improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory and costs within Operations.

Additionally, the VESL identifies new VES (Veralto Enterprise System) talents, provides trainings to develop them and helps them to become Certified Practitioners to permanently expand the VES knowledge at the site.

The secondary purpose of this position is to support the role out of the new ERP system and enable the organization to adapt to the new process and setting up the organization for success when this goes live.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Responsible for the daily implementation of VES (Veralto Enterprise System) processes and tools through their work interaction with associates and management to guide and facilitate activities and provide vital necessary supplies or resources.

  • Supports Operations Management in the planning, facilitation, and implementation of kaizen activities as the owner of the kaizen-funnel process.

  • Development and improvement of the site reporting structure (e. g. Daily- and Visual Management and KPI-Reviews).

  • Participates in appropriate daily management, KPI and other strategic meetings.

  • Analyses existing processes, data, and systems to expose problems and identify root causes using the Veralto problem solving process.

  • Analyses existing processes, data and systems to drive them into new processes with the new ERP system.

  • Development of the site VES culture through continuous communication to increase VES understanding.

  • Trains associates and leaders in the VES tools.

  • Communicates and drives “Best Practices” across the business and facilitate Veralto leadership benchmarking sessions.

  • Influence change management with different levels within the organization.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required (Physical Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain or Technical related field).

  • Years of Experience: 5 or more years in various lean manufacturing processes with exposure to Toyota Production Systems.

  • Leadership to set and attain goals and initiate actions to resolve problems and improve products and processes.

  • Have demonstrated ability in using quality principles and technical tools (problem analysis, statistical tools, design of experiments, variation reduction, design for six sigma, control charts).

  • Certified practitioner in several Lean manufacturing tools would be helpful.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and tackle problems.

  • Experience and solid understanding/application of Lean tools and concepts preferred.

  • Proven digital skills (data analysis, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, statistical tools).

  • Strong ability to provide concise executive summaries of business performance issues, changes needed or made, results delivered.

  • Ability to work with individuals and operational teams.
