Responsibilities You will design and implement exercise therapy programs for EODGRU-1 Human Performance and Wellness Directorate, Force Resiliency Program (FRP) and subordinate commands. You will perform Athletic Trainer evaluation and testing procedures on patients with selected diagnoses/conditions to design and establish treatment programs. You will provide direct therapeutic care; utilize therapeutic equipment; design exercise programs in accordance with standard Physical Therapy practices. You will maintain and update patient treatment records. You will serve as a member of an EOD FRP team to coordinate the rehabilitation or wellness activities for individual Sailors or groups of Sailors with the training calendar and leadership guidance. You will master new techniques and modality proficiency by studying current exercise therapy and athletic training literature. You will collaborate with other specialists to develop program for performance improvement, comprehensive fitness, VO2 max testing, and functional movement screening initiatives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a Professional Athletic Trainer providing fitness and health enhancement plans by designing or coordinating exercise training or treatment programs to prevent and minimize injuries in a community. Applicants must possess: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained.
