Kraft Heinz Foods Company Project Engineer in Coshocton, Ohio

Job Description Overview This position is responsible for planning and executing projects in the plant. This will include complete project management, engineering, and cost control, from conception to implementation and follow up. Must manage several projects simultaneously of varying value, duration, technical complexity, and in different areas of the facility. Will work closely with Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Sanitation, Safety, Finance and Corporate departments. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager. Accountabilities 1. Execute assigned capital projects: Prepare and submit capital appropriation requests, manage budget, cash flow, schedule, and project records/files. Depending on project scope, responsibilities may also include overall project management, construction management, and start-up. 2. Support or lead capital projects from conceptual phases through project close-out including scope development, cost estimation, system design, risk assessment, equipment sizing and selection, procurement, installation, check-out, start-up and close out. 3. Review key aspects of all assigned projects: ergonomics, safety, security, environmental, risk/FM Global, sanitary design, GMP's, food safety, and maintenance to ensure all requirements are being addressed. 4. Maintain an up-to-date awareness of Federal, State, and Local engineering codes and regulations including, KraftHeinz engineering standards and best practices 5. Interface with business unit team leaders - maintain close working relationships with operations, maintenance, quality, sanitation, and safety 6. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance across the entire facility with focus on the productive and infrastructure maintenance teams 7. Provide innovative technical solutions required to meet local and corporate business objectives with emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity. 8. Utilize Continuous Improvement or related tools and support plant CI efforts 9. Coordinate all aspects of the plant Contractor Safety Program 10. Provide support to annual capital planning process Qualifications -BS Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of project/process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred -Experience in a Food Manufacturing Environment preferred - Possess technical operational knowledge of packaging and processing equipment, maintenance systems, equipment installations/start-up procedures for plant, facility and utility equipment - Working knowledge of plant utilities systems; ammonia refrigeration, compressed air, steam boilers a plus -Working knowledge of food manufacturing regulatory requirements, (GMP's, Food Safety, USDA, etc.) a plus -Experience working with plant operators, leadership staff, corporate resources, outside vendors, contractors, and engineering firms is valuable -Electrical / controls experience a plus - Working knowledge of financial policies - Proficient with AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel, Word and MS Project Competencies/Behaviors -Demonstrated skills in executing several concurrent assignments -A self-starter with a strong drive to deliver results -Proven project management and change management skills -Demonstrated technical leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills -Strong communication, team management and interpersonal skills. -Skilled in working across teams and departments -Demonstrated leadership and proficiency in commercializing projects Location(s)Coshocton Plant Kraft Heinz is an Equal Opportunity Employer that prohibits discrimination or harassment of any type.
