The assistant coach (AC) is expected to work closely with the head coach, Assistant coach and all other stakeholders within our program and the department. They are expected to promote and uphold the behaviors and values that drive our culture and demonstrate a significant capacity for work. They should be committed to student athlete (SA) development on the court, in the classroom and in life. They should be committed to the process of improvement and be a person of character and integrity. They should also demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. The following is a general description of AC duties and responsibilities: Coaching and teaching (40%) Participate in practice planning and technical instruction during practice Track our SA's and teams progress and performance Provide in-match coaching and tactical adjustments Assist with preparation of scouting reports and video analysis of opponents. Recruiting (30%) Assist with recruiting planning, logistics and evaluations Organize official and unofficial campus visits. Create recruiting content and materials and coordinate their distribution Help with incoming SA's with the admissions process and the transition to campus Know and adhere to all rules and regulations of the NSIC & NCAA II Administration (20%) Work with the business office and compliance to complete any necessary documentation and paperwork. Participate in departmental activities as required Other duties as assigned by the head coach (10%) Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree. Experience playing or coaching basketball.
