The Global Sourcing team supports seven key categories of goods and services across Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE). Categories include Technology, Professional Services, Corporate Services/Facilities, Travel, Marketing, Production, and Distribution.

The Manager of Procurement Operations is responsible for standardizing and optimizing the Supplier selection processes, systems, and toolsets across Global Procurement. The Manager will collaborate with functional and operational stakeholders to develop targeted strategies for enhanced value across SPE’s supplier landscape, with the main goal of reducing supplier proliferation and increasing spend with SPE’s preferred suppliers. This role will lead Procurement Operations transformation projects. The Manager of Procurement Operations is expected to be a hands-on leader: developing Supplier analyses, reports, analytics, models, and planning system configurations personally in addition to partnering with your peers across Global Procurement to ensure productive and high-quality outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

  • Tool Enhancement: Ensure continuous enhancement of the SaaS-Based Supplier Onboarding tool to meet Procurement's evolving needs, while also managing supplier metrics within the platform to ensure optimal performance and alignment with procurement strategies.

  • Operational Management: Ongoing management of Global Procurement’s obligations within the SaaS-based supplier onboarding tool. This includes reviewing, analyzing, and approving requests for changes or additions.

  • Efficient Supplier Channel Optimization: Appropriately redirect supplier add requests to optimal channels, ensuring efficient use of procurement resources.

  • KPI Development and Management: Establish, manage, and refine Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to effectively measure and optimize supplier management strategies. This includes managing the proliferation of suppliers, directing spend towards preferred suppliers, and ensuring optimal use of spend channels.

  • Procurement Policy Management: Manage and update procurement policies company-wide, ensuring seamless integration and adherence within all supplier-related operations.

  • Agile Methodologies: Continuously look for ways to improve the sourcing process and leverage new ways to drive faster cycle-time, reduce touchpoints, and increase the speed at which SPE does business. Collaborate with business partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive an agile process.

  • Agile Implementation: Utilize Agile practices to improve both efficiency and responsiveness in the management of the SaaS-based supplier onboarding process, ensuring quick adaptation to change requests, fostering continuous stakeholder feedback, and effectively managing enhancement backlogs to align with procurement objectives.

  • Trusted Advisor: Strengthen stakeholder bonds and affirm your role as a trusted advisor by promoting preferred suppliers or conducting detailed quality checks, thereby streamlining procurement. Demonstrate unwavering commitment, foster mutual trust, and ensure impactful delivery, all while upholding SPE's values of inclusion, ethics, and integrity.
