Role Objective Creating and managing the detailed scheduling & work order flow; Scheduling of rework & Conversions; Manage Finished goods shortages due to backorders; Proper sequencing of mix batches to support production schedule; Communicate issues impacting production schedule; Work with Global Sourcing to assure availability of component parts needed to support production schedule; Managing MRP messages. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Manages (by shift) the detailed line production schedule. Coordinates make tank / hold tank / production line sequencing to minimize wait time. Completes all work order management tasks (e.g., status change, date and quantity modification). Communicates issues (shortages, vendor problems and changes) impacting component availability, delivery, and quality within reasonable reaction time frame. Manages level of product in the Rework and warehouse and promptly reschedules rework / repackaging. Manages level of product in totes and bulk inventory. Review backorder reports daily, update and respond as required. Follow up as required with all teams to expedite the flow of material and documents to meet customer orders. Coordinates & sequences all pre-assembly, printing, or other pre-work tasks so needed components are available by scheduled fill time. Determines & communicates production priorities and status for each line to MC leaders. Performs necessary system updates to complete, cancel, and change scheduled production. Reschedules and reacts to situational changes affecting established production schedule. Manage the MRP messages - Reschedule in/out/cancellations. In collaboration with SC Planning Manger/Master Scheduler develop models and strategies to improve scheduling capability and adherence. Tracks, identifies trends and propose corrective actions to improve the scheduling process. Provide weekly/monthly scheduling metrics to management as required. May be asked to perform other duties at a higher/lower level of proficiency. Interacts with shop floor supervisors on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Customer Service and Accounting Review production schedule for component shortages for upcoming weeks, follow up with Global Sourcing as needed. Education and Experience BA/BS College degree with three years to five years production scheduling experience preferred. Experience with ERP systems is desired eg SAP. APICS certification or certification in progress is a plus.
