Company Overview: Our client is a reputable law firm with diverse practice areas offering a comprehensive range of business and legal services. They are now hiring an Accounting Assistant to augment their finance department.
Job Description:
The Accounting Assistant will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial records of the firm, incorporating both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). The successful candidate will facilitate precise financial record-keeping through QuickBooks and contribute to the overall smooth operation of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee full cycle AP and AR operations.
Document and process invoices to ensure on-time, accurate payments.
Track client payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
Generate monthly financial reports and analyses.
Utilize QuickBooks to record and manage all financial transactions.
Collaborate with the Finance Manager to refine processes and upgrade financial operations.
Perform reconciliation of any payment discrepancies.
Assist with end-of-the-month tasks and financial audits as required.
Adhere to all state and federal regulations when carrying out financial operations.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
A minimum of 2 years of experience in full cycle AP/AR.
Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with professionalism.
Great communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
