Amazon Manager, Enterprise Applications (SAP S/4HANA), AWS Fintech in Dallas, Texas

Description

AWS Finance Technology team is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Manager, Enterprise Applications to lead the implementation and ongoing management of our SAP S/4HANA system on AWS. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing the successful deployment, integration, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA across our organization, ensuring seamless operations and maximizing the value derived from this powerful enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. Additionally, the Manager will provide leadership and mentorship to a team of SAP and AWS professionals, fostering their professional growth and development.

Key job responsibilities

1.Project Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAP S/4HANA on AWS, including planning, execution, and delivery.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify gaps, and develop roadmaps for continuous improvement.

  1. System Configuration and Integration:
  • Oversee the configuration of SAP S/4HANA to align with business processes and requirements.

  • Manage the integration of SAP S/4HANA with other enterprise applications

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation

3.Cloud Management and Optimization:

  • Monitor and optimize system performance

  • Ensure compliance with security, data protection, and regulatory requirements

  1. People Management:
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of SAP and AWS professionals, fostering their professional growth and development.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and create development plans for team members.

  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Manage workload distribution, prioritize tasks, and ensure efficient resource allocation within the team.

  • Attract, retain, and develop top talent by creating a positive and engaging work culture.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in implementing and managing SAP ERP solutions, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA.

  • Proven experience in leading enterprise-level SAP implementation projects, preferably in a cloud environment (AWS or similar).

  • In-depth understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices for running SAP workloads on the cloud.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Knowledge of security and compliance requirements, including data protection regulations.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain top talent.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of SAP Engineers/functional consultants to improve their skills, and make them more effective, and productive for the team

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
