Summary

The Regional Scheduling Manager leads a team of event scheduling managers and labor coordinators within their assigned region. They will be accountable for the optimal staffing of show site personnel for all Freeman events and projects. They will help develop and manage process to maximize efficiency and ensures operational excellence.

This position will support our Audio Visual & Event Technology team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Dallas, TX or Austin, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures all regional events and projects are assigned to Event Scheduling Managers and Labor Coordinators.

  • Acts as labor subject matter expert for assigned cities or regions.

  • Develops and implements labor policies for assigned cities or regions.

  • Delegates responsibilities and supervises the work of direct reports, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.

  • Provides training, development, resources, and support for all direct reports.

  • Partners with cross-divisional teams to support recruiting, training, and staffing of show site positions.

  • Assists with event labor budgeting as requested.

  • Identify and develop beneficial partnerships with local market labor providers.

  • Creates a collaborative and results driven atmosphere within the team that drives optimum performance.

  • Ensures city profiles are current and correct with current vendor and union labor rates and jurisdictions.

  • Assists in labor relations and contract administration.

  • Recruits and qualifies new event talent.

  • Reviews union and vendor contracts relevant to assigned cities or regions and participates in discussions and negotiations around contracts as requested.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • Working knowledge of relevant labor laws.

  • Minimum 3 years of show operations experience

  • Labor or staffing coordination experience preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of payroll systems and methods of payment to employees.

  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience.

  • Union experience is required.

  • Working Knowledge of Audio, Video, Lighting, Rigging and Scenic labor Requirements

Travel Requirements

Travel 25% to 50%
