Job Description:

Counselors within the center provide brief individual counseling, crisis services, outreach, advocacy, workshops, and therapy groups. The center works as a collaborative team around initiatives to enhance mental health services for the students at UT Dallas. Counselors at this time are offering both in-person and virtual mental health services and are allotted one work-from-home day/week.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Social Work from an accredited program and clinical independent licensure in the state of Texas before start date; OR doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited Program and licensure as a psychologist within the first year of employment

  • 1 year of related experience

  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals

  • Strong clinical skills and ability to maintain up to date and accurate documentation

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Licensed in Texas

  • Previous experience in a university/college setting

  • Interest and experience in providing supervision and training to practicum therapists and/or doctoral interns from a relational and use-of-self model

  • Bilingual
