Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

Reporting to the site Senior Quality Manager the Quality Management System Specialist will:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in line with the organization’s objectives and current industry standards

• Manage the internal program to ensure the QMS complies with all relevant regulations and standards, such as FAA, EASA, ISO 9001 and AS9100/AS9110

• Interface with other functions to establish and continually improve practices and requirements

• Perform analysis of non-conformances, corrective actions, and preventive actions

• Train employees on QMS policies, procedures, and principles to help promote a culture of quality throughout the organization

• Maintain approved supplier list and conduct audits as needed

• Coordinate external regulatory and customer audits and ensure timely corrective action responses

• Develop and Maintain QMS documentation, such as quality manuals, procedures, work instructions forms and rosters

• Co-chair FOD Committee and Corrective Action Board

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent related experience

• Minimum of 4 years conducting QMS audits and managing a corrective system

• Prior experience supporting external audits

• ISO9001 or AS9100 Lead Auditor

• Proficient with problem solving tools and methodologies (8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, Cause-and-Effect Diagram, FMEA)

  Preferred:

• FAA 145 Repair Station Experience

• Experience as site AS9100 OASIS Administrator

• Experience implementing and maintaining FOD control program

• Experience in conducting supplier audits

• Experience training internal audit staff
