Texas Health Resources Radiology Technologist (Radiographer) - Urgent Care - Full Time, Days in Dallas, Texas

We’re looking for a Radiologic Technologist who has a deep commitment to quality and compassionate care to join our Urgent Care team.

We are currently hiring for locations in Plano, Addison, Frisco, Wylie, Arlington, Fort Worth, Weatherford and Melissa locations

What you’ll do:

  • Be our “clinical concierge” providing outstanding customer service as you guide our patients and visitors through their entire experience in the Urgent Care Clinic

  • Be a vital member of the care team assisting with clinical functions including front and back office duties and working closely with the provider and other clinical team members

  • Be responsible for preparing the patient for their radiologic procedures, performing the X-rays and complete all required documentation

  • This position will float across multiple Texas Health Urgent Care locations.

Hours / Schedule:

  • Full Time / 12-hour shifts / 36 hours per week

What you’ll need / What we require:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or Associates Degree in Radiology Studies is required

  • CMRT by either TDH or TMB (Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist) upon hire required and

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) upon hire required

  • BCLS (AHA) is required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained every 2 years

  • Health care facility clinical experience preferred

  • previous experience as a LVN, MA , CNA, or other patient care preferred

  • Previous experience with electronic health record, straight- arm x-ray, venipuncture, orthopedic experience with X-ray, casting, splinting, DME application, etc preferred

The Clinical Concierge is responsible for a variety of clinical functions to include x-ray examinations, point of care laboratory testing, and other clinical duties. The Concierge also performs patient registration, collection of payments, rooming, assisting the provider with care and treatment, discharge, and follow-up. It is the role of the Clinical Concierge to guide consumers and their "secondary guests" through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce visit times, and maximize the consumer experience. This position is a vital part of the clinical team that works under the direction of the Site Manager and the on-duty provider. Must demonstrate discretion; good judgement; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude.

  • Behaves in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust, comfort, understanding, and relationships with consumers and the secondary guest(s) and in-line with patient experience standards

  • Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow.

  • Measures and documents vitals including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and pain level.

  • In EPIC, documents reason for visit, chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications in the medical record for review by provider.

  • Performs and documents completion of radiology examinations ordered by the provider. Performs x-rays following established protocols for consumer care and safety. Ensures images are transferred to radiology group for overread and assures all images have a report on file in the medical record.

  • Performs x-rays per current positioning protocols, utilizes appropriate exposure factors, and maintains a safe environment for consumers, secondary guests and coworkers.

  • If Certified Medical Assistant, may administer medications and immunizations. Injections may be intramuscular, intradermal or subcutaneous.

  • Schedules primary care, specialist, and ancillary referrals for consumers

  • Other duties as assigned
