PRN Charge Nurse – Med Surg/Behavioral Health

Fast-paced, high volume Med Surg/Behavioral Health Department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: PRN (As needed) | Night Shift | Rotating Weekends, Holidays

Here’s What You Need

  • Nursing Diploma required or

  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required or

  • BSN preferred

  • 1 year experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting required

  • 2 years experience in Med Surg/Behavioral Health experience highly preferred

  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient

  • Plans the care of the patient

  • Intervenes as appropriate

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care

  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
