Position Overview:

As a Senior Data Architect specializing in Data Discovery, Data Mapping, Data Modeling, Data Quality, Enterprise Information Model adoption, different types of Database Storage Systems involving relational, NoSQL, azure cloud data solutions, and Big Data Analytical Platforms, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data architecture artifacts to support advanced data initiatives. Leveraging your expertise in data domain and azure cloud data solutions, you will lead the development of scalable and pressure tested data models, and data solutions that empower decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient Data Modeler with requirements analysis and data models design experience in Power Designer, Hackolade, and ERWin tools to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.

  • Proficiency with cloud computing platforms, particularly Azure or AWS Cloud Platforms. Design and implement robust data architectures to support large-scale analytics workloads, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. .

  • Utilize strong experience with IBM Enterprise Information Model in the banking industry for data domains and deployments, ensuring alignment with industry-specific standards and practices.

  • Lead the integration of disparate data sources, including structured and unstructured data, to create a unified view for analytical purposes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and provide them referential architecture for proposed solution.

  • Evaluate and recommend Azure Cloud data technologies and tools to enhance the data architecture and analytics capabilities, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of database storage systems, encompassing relational databases (SQL-Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle etc), NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB etc.), data lakes, and lake house architectures for batch and real-time analytics. Strong understanding of big data technologies such as Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Hadoop/hive, Greenplum, and Databricks etc. for batch and real-time analytical requirements.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Target State Architecture and Referential Architecture by employing pattern-based solutioning to address use cases effectively.

  • Expertise in analyzing requirements for enterprise Operational System Data Models and building enterprise data assets.

  • Implement data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliances.

  • Proficiency in delivering Data as a Code by seamlessly integrating data models into CI/CD frameworks for automated deployments using gitlab/gihub etc.

  • Proficiency in programming(Spark/Python preferred) and design principles

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, demonstrating meticulous attentions to details.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to six years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth Banking Industry Knowledge : Understanding of banking operations, regulations, and compliance requirements to tailor data architecture solutions effectively.

  • Enterprise Data Management : Proficiency in data management strategies including data governance, data quality, and master data management.

  • Experience in Master Data Management for critical business entities supporting master data set across the bank.

  • Data Modeling : Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling techniques to represent business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.

  • Enterprise Architecture Framework: Familiarity with industry-standard enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF etc.

  • Big Data Analytical Platforms: Experience with big data technologies like Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Hadoop/hive, Greenplum, and Databricks etc.

  • Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platforms for designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions.

  • Data Integration and ETL Tools : Proficiency in data integration tools to streamline data ingestion and processing pipelines.

  • Data Security and Privacy: Understanding of data security principles, encryption techniques, and privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) to ensure data compliance.

  • Business Intelligence and Analytics: Knowledge of BI and Analytical tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and/or Alteryx etc.

  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively.

  • Problem-solving and Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data challenges, identify root causes, and develop innovative solutions.

  • Continuous Learning and Adaptability.

  • Relevant certifications ( e.g. Microsoft Certified) are advantageous. Azure Certifications like AZ-900, DP-900, and/or DP-100 are preferred.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $116,280.00 - $136,800.00 - $150,480.00
