Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Dallas, Texas
Description In this position, you will be in charge of preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, and preparing audits, as well as managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates will need excellent analytical skills and an ability to keep up in a fast-paced workspace. Your responsibilities in this role
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP Requirements - Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Skilled with ERP systems
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proficiency in Full Cycle Accounting
Manufacturing experience preferred
Solid understanding of manufacturing
