Job Description

Sabre Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to drive strategy and product management in our retailing portfolio of products, Retail Studio. Retailing is one of the key areas of our innovation with the focus on expansion of tools that enable revenue growth for hoteliers. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who is passionate about hospitality and e-commerce, and how technology empowers and enhances both.

Sr Principal will own the strategy and roadmap for one of our retailing solutions along with the responsibility for planning and execution of product development and go-to-market activities. As part of Product Management team, you will define and coordinate specific actions to amplify the value proposition of our advanced retail management platform, growing Sabre Hospitality as the premier solution for these capabilities within the hospitality industry

Responsibilities include:

  • Establish the long-term vision and growth strategy for the product

  • Understand the market opportunity, customer needs, and competitive actions to define and prioritize areas of innovation and differentiated capabilities

  • Manage the technology development budget

  • Define and execute the product roadmap, prioritize capabilities in line with the strategic objectives, and define release plans

  • Define detailed requirements and user/customer acceptance criteria for the development teams; regularly engage with customers, prospects, and partners to validate and refine requirements and show case iterative demos

  • Define and coordinate the end to end go-to-market strategy with the support from other departments like marketing, finance, sales, etc.

  • Collaborate with delivery and customer care teams to ensure understanding of product enhancements and support expectations

  • Identify customer and internal KPIs, track impact of product investments relative to those KPIs, and rationalize roadmap relative to results

  • Serve as the evangelist of the product and capability, both internally and externally

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a hospitality or technical field (MBA preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

Required qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise software in Product Management or a related field, including 3+ years of product leadership experience

  • Proven track record of developing and launching new products

  • Experience managing relationships with third-party technology partners and/or vendors

  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and analytical skills

  • Resourceful, action-oriented individual who possesses a sense of urgency and knows how to overcome obstacles to get things done in a timely fashion

  • Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and has a proven ability to operate well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Strong commitment to integrity, innovation, collaboration, and ownership of results

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience working with enterprise software in a Product Management role; strong background in hospitality technology and/or e-commerce solutions

  • 5+ years of product leadership experience in a global setting

  • Deep understanding of product development lifecycle and development best practices

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in highly matrixed, collaborative environment

  • Executive leadership, communication, and presentation skills
