Summary:

The System Pharmacy Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of assigned projects under the direction of the Vice President of Pharmacy. Applies knowledge, skill, tools, techniques to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close project activities. Delivers on-time, on-budget results, learning, and integration to meet organization, department, and project needs. Maintains effective working relationships at all levels, both internal and external to the pharmacy department.

Responsibilities:

1.Responsible for directing overall project: planning, execution and deliverables. Define objectives, stakeholders, deliverables, communications and managing to plan. Partners with Pharmacy leadership in defining project scope, budget, objectives, metrics, deliverables, constraints and risk. Ensures alignment with the department and organization�s strategic direction to maximize overall value. Leads sponsors/ business unit(s) in assessing the impact of the solution on existing business practices to determine policy and process changes, organizational and staffing level requirements, training needs, and physical location requirements such as work space or equipment.

2.Drives project teams� efforts throughout the project lifecycle and provides management feedback. Resolves productivity / accountability issues with team members and escalates as appropriate.

3.Leads project initiation develops the project plan and timeframe for project and scheduling. Project tasks are broken down to level that shows clear progression in the plan in accordance with standard project management guidelines.

4.Disseminates issues and concerns to appropriate parties. Escalates functional, quality, resource, or timeline issues appropriately. Issues/decisions should clearly identify who the task is assigned to, status of issue / decision, due date of resolution, and impact to project for missing time frame identified. Provides management with the appropriate documentation of the issue and its alternatives for decision making

5.Provides appropriate communication within a timely manner or agreed upon time frames. Provides meeting agendas and meeting minutes in a timely manner. Follow-up issues and action items are included in the minutes identifying responsible party and timeframes. Identifies and documents potential risk with the project and presents to sponsor/ management possible mitigation strategies to reduce the risk.

6.Provides direction to project team on an on-going basis. Clearly communicates expectations and schedules in a timely manner and reviews workload with team. Provides guidance on day to day project management activities.

7.Ensures project status and project plan is disseminated on time per project highlighting accomplishments, decisions made or needed, issues, and changes to the plan with impact to scope, deliverables, resources and budget.

8.Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

9.Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Information:

Required: Requires a minimum formal education of a Bachelors Degree and Project Management Certification (or certification within one year of hire).

Minimum of three years job-related experience.

Project management experience, facilitation experience, proficiency with Microsoft office suite of products including MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.

This position requires creativity, interpersonal, team building, project management, written/verbal communication, analytic and conflict resolution skills.

Minimum Experience: three years

Desired: Lean Six Sigma training/certification.
