The Center for Food Innovation (CFI) is the dedicated center for Research & Development (R&D) for TTH and is responsible for the development of food ingredients, cost-effective production processes and solutions for our customers.
We are looking for an Associate Principal Scientist Food Technology to join the “Enzyme House” of the Center for Food Innovation.
As an Associate Principal Scientist Food Technology you will join the Enzyme House Food Science and Product Development team. You are the Food Science lead for the enzyme innovation for Plant Based Dairy alternatives and Ingredient Processing business segments in a multidisciplinary project team: you will leverage your know-how on enzymes and their use in (food) applications, and your creativity to support shaping the innovation pipeline fitting the requirements of the business segments.

*Key Responsibilities *
Development of new enzymes and new enzyme applications fitting the requirements of the Plant Based Alternatives and Ingredient Solutions business segments.
Be the linking pin between business segments and R&D, driving enzyme ideation and filling the business innovation pipeline.
Contribute to new enzyme product development in multidisciplinary teams, connecting across R&D, and to the business teams to create impactful solutions.
Translate customer and business needs into relevant research questions and experimental designs.
Interpret, analyze, and report the results of experiments to team members and customers in meetings and reports.

You Bring
PhD or equivalent experience in Food Sciences (Enzymology, Biotechnology or Food Technology are strong advantages).
Expertise in working with enzymes (applied or fundamental).
5 years of working experience in life sciences business, within an R&D and/or innovation environment.
Experience with working in multidisciplinary projects. Experience with project management is a bonus.
Deep scientific understanding, creativity and pragmatism, strong leadership skills.
A strong sense of accountability and a preference for fast paced innovation.
Affinity with business needs in the area of Food & Beverages, specifically for Plant Based Alternatives and Ingredient Processing.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
