Austin Bridge & Road has an outstanding opportunity for a Wall Foreman at our large heavy civil project in Gainesville, Texas. The role involves managing the construction of permanent and temporary FMW mechanical walls, including panel and strap walls, for a large heavy civil project. It focuses on ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with plans while collaborating with inspectors, developers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the construction of FMW mechanical walls, including panel and strap walls, from start to finish
Operate and manage a small fleet of onsite equipment
Ensure all work complies with project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards
Develop and execute daily and weekly schedules for efficient project execution
Train crew members on best practices and job-specific techniques
Coordinate materials, tools, and supplies for seamless project flow
Maintain a safe and productive working environment
Communicate effectively with team members, inspectors, and project stakeholders
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience overseeing crews on heavy civil projects, specifically in wall construction
Proven ability to manage the construction of permanent and temporary walls, including FMW mechanical systems
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Experience with logistics planning, scheduling, and material management
Commitment to jobsite safety and demonstrated ability to enforce safe work practices
Comfortable working night shifts and extended schedules as needed
Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED or higher
Valid driver’s license
Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures
Must be able to work on call as needed
