Job Title: Accounting Manager

Job Description

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the General Ledger, including supervising, monitoring, and evaluating all day-to-day accounting activities. Utilizing tools like QuickBooks and Excel, you will manage a 3-5 day month-end process, handle accounts receivable including invoice creation and aging reports, and partner with audit firms during internal and external audits. You will also be responsible for gathering data and reports for tax purposes and maintaining effective communication with the tax firm. Additionally, you will be actively involved in financial forecasting, managing department budgets, implementing cost control systems, and managing company cash flow. This role requires hands-on involvement in financial processes, including making journal entries and understanding their implications on financial statements.

Qualifications

Bachelors in Accounting or Finance

High revenue company experience ($1B+)

5+ years progressive Accounting experience

Expert in the General Ledger- experience owning it

Familiar with IFRS-International Financial Reporting Standards - run off IFRS not GAAP as parent company is in Japan

Come from similar industry- aerospace, construction, engineering, aerospace where dealing with cost accounting

Excel- very Excel dependent

ERP experience (QuickBooks preferred)

Work Environment

Hybrid work setting with a minimum of 2 days in the office to foster collaboration and maintain company culture. You will be part of a dynamic team that includes a Director of Finance, Controller, and Accounts Payable staff. The environment is akin to a small business/start-up.
