Job Summary and Qualifications
Working as a Medical Assistant for HCA HealthONE hospital, will allow you to collaborate daily with an elite team of healthcare professionals. We care like family and it shows every day. Be a part of a company where our nurses are family. Make this move and elevate your career to the next level!
What you will do in this role:
You will be responsible for assessing needs of patients and must be able to distinguish between an emergency and non-emergency situation and prioritize accordingly.
You will document all activities in the medical record neatly and appropriately.
You will maintain medical equipment and supplies for the clinic, and a professional and workable relationship with providers.
You will screen and contact potential new patients collecting and documenting information in the office database.
You will manage the front desk serving as a receptionist welcoming patients and family members in a professional manner, registering patients, verifying insurance, answering phones, scheduling diagnostic studies and other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Nurse Practitioner.
What qualifications you will need for this role:
Graduate of accredited medical assistance program, MA Certified, equivalent healthcare certification or sufficient previous MA work experience. C.P.R certified
Graduation from a recognized training facility for medical assistants is preferred.
2 years of experience in a physician practice is preferred
