Commercial Marketing Coordinator

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Commercial Marketing Coordinator at JanSport looks a little like this.

You will play a pivotal role in our supporting the brand marketing team operationally by contributing to both retail development and execution, on-product marketing, developing marketing tools for the sales team, and driving marketing initiative support. Because this is a highly cross functional role, you will partner regularly with the sales team to support key accounts, as well as work collaboratively with the merchandising, product, and creative teams for go-to-market initiatives. You will be reporting to the Brand Marketing Manager for the JanSport Global and Eastpak NORA Brand Marketing team.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Execute Wholesale Marketing Support, including:

Retail Development and Execution:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine retail fixtures that showcase our products effectively.

  • Manage internal and external fixture approvals, ensuring they align with brand standards and vision.

  • Maintain a rollout distribution list for fixtures, ensuring timely delivery to retail partners.

  • Work closely with sales team to identify opportunities for growth and oversee the creation and implementation of graphics for retail displays.

Digital Campaign Management

  • Compile assortment relevant assets to elevate and amplify brand strength and drive sell thru

  • Support paid media campaigns with appropriate assets

  1. Facilitate execution of seasonal workbooks and sell in tools, including development and production workflow of all aspects from kick-off through edit routing to print production. Partner with creative services, RD&D, sales, marketing, and various outside vendors.

  2. Oversee on-product marketing, including organization of hangtag matrix, creative development, legal vetting, approvals, and release. Work closely with VF Asia to ensure correct application to product. Participate in SMU and product collab task forces.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3+ years of marketing experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Detail oriented and very strong organization and project management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at a time

  • Experience with Photoshop, PowerPoint and database platforms like Power BI

  • Understanding of retail and wholesale marketplaces

  • Understanding and application of marketing best practices

  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies

  • Public speaking skills and ability to effectively communicate across teams

  • A strong motivation to work on all types of projects and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help the entire brand marketing team

  • Have a strong passion for our brand, brand values, and Gen Z culture

  • Interest in developing a brand strategy skillset through exposure & experience

  • Highly driven with a positive, high-energy, team-oriented attitude

  • Location requirement: Denver, CO

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

  • Retail and visual merchandising

  • Wholesale account marketing

  • Photo and video editing

Hiring Range :

$60,480.00 USD - $75,600.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
